Campaign in a nutshell
Creative content is always made by someone - a writer, a musician, a composer, a journalist, an artist, a producer or even a vlogger. Every piece of their work comforts, cheers, calms, creates well-being - and also brings wealth to our society. And even more today, when the times are rough and we are physically isolated from each other.
©-DAY, the Finnish campaign week for the international World Intellectual Property Day, collects creatives and all their friends to cherish the value of art and content from 20 April to 25 April.
During the week different websites, personal and company social media channels, editorial media and culture institutions turn to different shades of green. Green means that it’s safe to go: the campaign colour expresses support for fair use of content - that is to say copyrights.
With green colour we give our support to the creatives that can go on producing content we love - just now and in the future, with fair compensation.
©-DAY is a campaign for all those in favour of fair creative business to join. It’s brought to daylight by Tekijänoikeusakatemia ry, which is a NGO formed by Finnish copyright and collective rights management organisations (Teosto, Kopiosto, Gramex, Kuvasto, Sanasto ja APFI ry) and the comms agency Kreab Helsinki with the creative Helsinki14-collective. The campaign is supported by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture and private partners like RadioMedia and Kulta ry.
